Research with Children

Interviewing children, especially young children 6 and under, requires special skills. At Friedman Marketing, our interviewers are trained in the techniques needed to enable children to participate in a survey without being unduly influenced by the interviewer or their surroundings. When requested, parents are able to observe the interview from outside the room, thus allowing them the comfort of knowing their child is safe, while preventing the child's responses from being influenced or directed by the parent.

Our staff is conversant with the industry guidelines for interviewing children and young people. We meet the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) when conducting Web-based in-person surveys with children under 13.
